It is considered to be the home to some of the world’s greatest natural treasures. Its beauty has not escaped from the interest of many. Tourism growth in this region will contribute positively to the development of the whole country but still, it can cause some ill effects on this region as well.
Along with it, Gilgit Baltistan has remained the center of concentration for many world powers because of its beauty and geostrategic location. It has always remained appealing to national and international visitors due to its scenic beauty and landscape view. Its lush green valleys, breathtaking lakes, and high sky mountains have always compelled tourists to visit this area. Likewise, its beauty is further enhanced by the hospitality of local people and the unique culture of this region.

The influence of other cultures on the native people will bring the western way of living here. This will promote outbreaks of crimes, prostitution, and an abrupt change in the behavior of people. Nevertheless, it is worth noting that it could carry devastating effects on the environment, poisoning the air, water, and soil that keeps us alive. Moreover, a huge tourist inflow will result in lessening some key resources like food, energy, and water that exist normally leading to disturbance in the ecosystem.

It has immense popularity for tourism accompanied by a robust marketing potential. The people should realize the capacity they have in terms of tourism and use it properly for the sustainable progress of the locality. Furthermore, the authority should also take essential steps for the promotion of eco-friendly tourism which will function as the cornerstone for the growth and also safeguarding of the environment of this country.
