Life is a Truman show 

We accept the reality of the world with which we are presented. Before moving forward I do expect that my audience had watched the movie “The Truman Show” featuring Jim Carrey. There are thousands of aspects of our lives, we make ourselves to believe in certain things that revolve around us. Everyone here on Earth has their own realities which they have created by the lenses on their eyes.

Like the Truman show, it is quite a possibility that we’re living in the space and time where everything revolves around us. We’re the only real person and all around us is just the cast of our life’s movie. There is a crew of producers and managers, there is a team which works on the cameras for surveillance of our each and every step.

It is quite a breathtaking realization that someone is monitoring us every time. He is a producer who has set this large stage for our life drama which we call the Universe. And has woven everything from nothing to film our lifes. This is a great producer with the control on everything around us. He might sometimes switch to the storms, lightnings, earthquakes, and eruption of volcanoes, and most of the time He prefers a smooth running. He has tunned everything so perfectly that there is only this reality in front of our eyes.

Life is a Truman show for everyone, but only the philosophers and the saint-like people are the Trumans who really reach to the door to jump into the real world. Truman escapes the artificial sea in a boat fighting and resisting the storms to discover that there is a world beyond the artificial set which is monitored by someone. To quote Nietzsche “No artist tolerates reality”.

We all have made a world out of the distorted notions and we all are quite indifferent to accept even if we find that our truths are no more the truths.

We never put the real self on-

We’re more clumsy, comfortable, and charming with our friends. Everybody feels at home while catching up with some kith and kin. It’s a general observation that when you’re with your girlfriend or boyfriend you just put on a self which is refined, your mannerisms are good, you talk with a soft tongue, you simply behave like a gentleman. All formalities are for the world, everybody puts thousands of filters before getting involve with others. We also do the same while attending a wedding, a seminar, or the like. Formalities are part of life, but life is not formal. Being formal means not to express the true selves. Formalities kill the real you, because it controls your speech, actions, thought process and the like. 

People are giving charities, taking fasts, praying in their churches, mosques,and  monagogues to show that they’re pious. 

Rousseau once said,” Man is born free but everywhere is in chains”. We’re born with a predicided name, a culture to feel proud, a family to stay protected, a cast to be recognized,  a religion to impress the God and to earn a place in the heavens. Everything happens because of the chain of earlier events, and the events thus become our little realities to help the evolution to move on.

Man is great because man produces fictional stories and believes in them. Just like the piece of paper which you call money and you actually believe in it that it is got the worth to get you everything. You bullshit you neither eat the money nor wear it as a clothing, but you still believe in it.

Man is great because man can organize men. From Ali Baba, Twitter, Puma, to every giant organization is a group of people at work. At last, man is great because man distorts the reality, he loves living in follies. 

Just to add on Truman was left with two options at the end either to open the door to the real world or to stay in the world which was solely produced for him. He chooses to be a free man. What you choose to be?
