With the advancement of technology, the world has converted from a global village to a global street. It is the result of the desire for ease and comfort, that led human beings to materialize their innovative idea. This rearing process of development successfully brought about many changes in our culture, environment, economy, urban, society in many more aspects of life
Like many other countries around the world, our homeland is also progressing towards development. Gradually, it is also becoming a tourism hub. Recently, Prime Minister Imran Khan announced a package of RS 370 billion to Gilgit Baltistan. Moreover, foreign investment including the CPEC is spending billions of dollars in Gilgit Baltistan. As a lucrative tourism industry in Gilgit Baltistan is attracting millions of tourists.
These developmental changes have boosted the economy of Pakistan, which is in return beneficial for the dwellers of these income-generating areas because the government is also showing its concern towards these areas. Better facilitation, improved infrastructure, and a standard format of living are cyclically helping both the government and the public. Furthermore, these, developmental steps help the host country in representing its identity, cultural way of living, traditions, and rules and regulations. Which, in return helps in sustaining a strong, positive image around the globe.
On the contrary, the demerits are also considerable. Now-a -day one of the major problem human beings are facing is health problems, conflicts, misinterpretations and over influence, etc. With the advancement of living standards, the modes of disease spread and effect have also developed. Developmental advancements like the encouragement of tourism may increase the risk factor of spreading a contagious disease, like the coronavirus. Moreover, it is a matter of fact that human phycology has always been keen to explore and try exciting new things. More exposure to a futuristic environment influences the person to facsimile and try it, at least once. Likewise, as time flies, our rituals and routines are changing. Gradually, the originality of our culture and tradition is fading. The western tradition is so influential that our cultural thoughts and themes are fading .eventually, our format of living, our language, and our traditions are on the verge of extinction.
Although it is the pinnacle of triumphs in the history of Pakistan specifically, Gilgit Baltistan, there are some endangerments to be aware of and have an eye upon. However, it cannot be denied that development is the basic too to endeavor in today’s developing world socially, economically, culturally, and personally.
